At the kick-off Advisory Board meeting in Lexington, MWRA Executive Director Fred Laskey outlined what he saw as the MWRA’s biggest priorities and challenges for this fiscal year. He presented a PowerPoint discussing, among other issues:

  • The current drought in Massachusetts, and the current level of the Quabbin reservoir
  • An update on MWRA’s initiatives to “Get The Lead Out” of local water systems
  • The major decisions that need to be made about redundancy for the Metropolitan Water Tunnel
